I have been taking portraits for over 20 years. I love people’s faces; the subtle play of changing expression with each passing instant. When I shoot, I prefer to be alone with my subject - a portrait is a collaborative effort, and the connection between the artist and the sitter is what makes it work. The finished image should capture the essence of that second in your life, and have a hint of what is behind your gaze.
I’ve worked with many actors, writers, dancers, and models. I know that many of you are more shy of the lens than some business folk I’ve shot for annual reports. I relish seeing the barriers come down and letting you shine through...... which is why I say I do portraits, not “head shots”. No fake smile that a casting director has seen a million times, nothing but you and your individuality.
I also do sessions for couples, to celebrate their life together.
The session can be shot on film, or digitally. They are usually done in a studio setting, but can be done in your home. Prices vary, depending on whether you are looking for a simple portrait or an entire package for a CD or portfolio. Feel free to call for more information. |
